"Thirst"

...sunlight arriving on a spring breeze,
sundrops rising to life, spreading across the land,
exposed, petals open, anticipating, desiring...
awaiting flowing waters and falling raindrops to arrive.

silky tresses swirl and glisten before my eyes,
the world stops spinning and time is frozen,
my breath taken away by the first sight of you,
because I have waited for you since time began.

As I'm touching, tasting, and exploring you,
I realize that I too am exposed, open, waiting, desiring...
like the flower when receiving the raindrops from the sky ,
I receive your everlasting love to quench my thirst.
